We all grow up watching the Love-Hate relationship between the Hero and Honda. The Japanese giant currently holds the record for the most two-wheeler-selling brand in the world. Also, the Honda Activa is a huge hit in the country and sells like hotcakes (also should I say like hot momos). However, the manufacturer couldn’t keep up with Hero Motors in the motorcycle segment in India. Honda is relying heavily on Activa which currently consists of 50% of the entire Honda sales in the country. How long can honda just rely on Activa? maybe forever (if it ain’t broke don’t fix it). Jokes apart the motorcycle manufacturer is launching a 100CC bike to rival the Hero Splendor soon.
The most selling motorcycle ever will be not a rare site to watch. So I genuinely think you will not even need a quick brief on the Hero legendary Splendor. Let’s jump straight into the deets on Honda 100.
- Honda 100CC bike to launch on March 15.
- Key focus on fuel efficiency.
- Aimed against Hero Splendor.
More on the Teaser of Honda 100CC
At the beginning of the teaser, asks about the expectations from a first-time buyer indicating a category of target audience. Additionally, we can see the whole of it shot in a rural locality and featuring the actor Jimmy Shergill in a rural outfit. Fuel efficiency and affordability is the key selling point in this part of the country and Honda wants to strike in the heart of it.
The current title holder Hero Splendor is a synonym for the same. Currently, Honda does not provide a contender in the 100CC class and the entry segment to the brand starts from CT110. Even though, it has not met the deciding factors of the Indian mass market and the manufacturer is keen to fix it.
The Promise
The Tagline “Zyada Challe… Zyada Teeke…” It comes head-to-head with the iconic Splendor Tagline “Chaltha Rahe…”. Honda 100 will also enjoy privileges from its well-known brand trust and Japanese-built quality. More than that the price of the motorcycle should be arguably the same or close to the arch-nemeses.
The specifications of the bike are little known till now but it is supposed to aim a 65+KM/L fuel efficiency. This will be a tight competition if it matches the fuel efficiency of the Hero Splendor and Bajaj Platina. The Launch of the All-New Honda 100CC motorcycle is set to take place in Mumbai on the 15th of March.
